Inside the audio of "Mundo Catita"
Mundo Catita is a not an Ourafilmes video production, we just worked on the audio. From recording in location to the final mix of the trailer and the 6 episodes. No, it is not a movie, it is the first portuguese independent tv series made without being sold first through a pilot episode. In November 2006, we went to Lisbon for two months to record the sound in location. In June 2007 we started working on the editing and post-production of the trailer. In July we dubbed some bad takes and we started the 6 episodes editing and post-production. After some problems (and lots, lots of waiting) with the final music we finally finished it the beggining of December 2007. The premiere was in the biggest cinema in Lisbon (was full and some people didn´t enter at all) and was a huge success. Afterwards, the directors wanted some changes in some music levels and some sound effects and we finally finished all mixing and mastering in early January 2008.

"Mundo Catita" was edited and mixed in Pro Tools LE 7.3.1 (+ DV Toolkit) with Serato Pitch´n´Time, Waves (Z-Noise, Platinum Bundle, SSL Bundle, V-Series Bundle and L3-LL), AudioEase Speakerphone and iZotope (vinyl and RX). The 4 small pieces of music (less than 30 seconds each) we did for episodes 2 and 3 were made in Logic Pro 7.2.3 using with Reaktor 5, Arturia Jupiter 8V and some of the referenced Waves Plugins. We used all this tools on a Macbook Pro 17" 2.33 GHz, 2Gb Ram and a Mac Mini 1.83 GHz, 1 GB Ram.
